Spring is here and I am getting ready to serve students in high-tech online fashion at the University of Washington Bothell and Cascadia Libraries. This week I will be making introductions and meeting established librarians, navigating technology access, familiarizing myself with the most common research platforms, and establishing more "norms" for the rest of the quarter.
My supervisors at UWB are Chelsea and Laura, who have been a wonderful support system and will continue to be my mentors throughout the quarter. A few things I am looking forward to learning as I go:
Student and faculty engagement in the library - specifically Information Behavior of students and faculty and how to best serve them as their librarian.
How to instruct undergrad students in Information Literacy and Research at the library.
Best practices overall.
I look forward to having you with my on my journey.
